Remembering Nolan Marcus
Nolan was a curious and intelligent young man with a passion for travel, adventure, music, and the great outdoors. He thrived on surrounding himself with wonderful people and possessed a wise soul that allowed him to engage meaningfully with individuals from all walks of life and all ages. Nolan lived for new experiences and inspired others to challenge themselves. As an advocate for those who lacked the strength or courage to speak up, he believed in treating everyone with respect and living a fulfilling life. He was truly an extraordinary young man.
The Nolan Marcus Memorial Travel Grant will be awarded annually to a student embarking on their own adventure, encouraging them to open their minds and hearts through studying abroad for a semester. Nolan cherished his time studying in Germany; it broadened his horizons and proved to be an immensely rewarding experience. He wanted to see others living their best lives, and having this scholarship fund in his name to enable someone else’s dreams would fill him with pride. As he wrote, “Studying overseas opened my world. Solo travel is hard, but it’s very rewarding. Only I can get myself to the places I want to go. Go...”
To make this vision a reality and help as many students fulfill their dreams as possible, we kindly ask for your support.
