Hello Everyone!

My name is Meredith Ferlatte and this is my second year competing for the IHSA Hunt seat equitation team. I started on the team last September in the novice division and have now qualifed for regionals this year in both novice flat and over fences. I am currently showing in the intermediate division. 

Being on this team has definitely been one of the major highlights of my university experience. It has not only helped me to improve my equitation through riding a vast array of horses, but it has also helped me form friendships with teammates who are now some of my dearest friends. I have nothing but gratitude for being chosen to represent the University of Guelph on this team. It is definitely a bittersweet feeling being a fourth year student heading to my last semester of IHSA competitions. But who knows, I may come back for the alumni division at some point!

However, our wonderful IHSA team is entirely student run and funded by the members of the team -yet we compete at a varsity level against other schools that fund their show teams expenses entirely. As university students that face many expenses already, on competition weekends we face many transportation, accomodation and entry fees as well. Any help we receive through donations is tremendously appreciated and will distributed evenly throughout the IHSA team. Thank you to our gryFANS for their generous support!
