This year I am once again participating in and organizing the 10th Annual OTS Dog Jog to help raise money for the OVC Pet Trust. This non-competitive run/walk held at the University of Guelph will help OVC Pet Trust in their mission to help the pets we love-live longer, healtier lives. Support from events like the OTS Dog Jog has led to major improvements in anesthesia and pain control, heart treatment and monitoring techniques, protecting pets and people from infections, advancing cancer diagnosis and treatment, understanding the human-animal bond, and much more.
As a student veterinarian and a dog mom this cause is near and dear to my heart. I personally experience the benefits of having a pet each and every day and have dedicated my life to helping pets (and their people) live happier, healthier lives together. Some of the research that is funded by OVC Pet Trust also has implications for human health as well, check it out at https://nationalpost.com/feature/heal-boy
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support!
