Dog Jog Banner Wide

Welcome to My Personal Page

This year I am participating in 11th Annual OTS Dog Jog to help raise money for OVC Pet Trust. This non-competitive run/walk is being held virtually and will help OVC Pet Trust in their mission to help the pets we love-live longer, healthier lives. Support from events like the OTS Dog Jog has led to major improvements in anesthesia and pain control, heart treatment and monitoring techniques, protecting pets and people from infections, advancing cancer diagnosis and treatment, understanding the human-animal bond, and much more.

As a student veterinarian and a dog mom, this cause is near and dear to my heart. I personally experience the benefits of having a pet each and every day and I have dedicated my life to helping pets (and their people) live happier, healthier lives together. Over this past year in particular as we see the effects of COVID-19 and the increase in companion animals and through my clinical rotations the important role that animals play in our lives and the importance of giving them the best possible care has been reinforced for me. Some of the research that is funded by OVC Pet Trust also has implications for human health, check it out at https://nationalpost.com/feature/heal-boy

Thank you in advance for your consideration and support!
