Kaled was a mechanical engineering student; he was a true embodiment of an engineering enthusiast. He delighted in all things sci-fi, Marvel, and gaming. His love for puns and memes brought laughter and joy to those around him. Yet, amidst his love for entertainment, Kaled always maintained a deep appreciation for understanding real-life concepts and their practical implications.
Despite pursuing mechanical engineering, Kaled never let his chosen path limit his exploration and passion for mechatronics. In his spare time, he dedicated himself to mechatronics projects, and constantly sought opportunities to expand his knowledge. He eagerly contributed to the school's racecar team and enrolled in elective courses related to mechatronics. Kaled's drive for knowledge and his dedication to practical application set him apart.
Kaled was a go-getter, never afraid to pursue the next thing that sparked his interest. He embraced new experiences and career opportunities that were completely outside his comfort zone. His determination and proactive approach led him to secure positions in Alberta and California with Suncor and Tesla. Kaled's unwavering drive serves as a reminder to all aspiring engineers that they should never shy away from pursuing their dreams, no matter how ambitious they may seem.
To his friends, family, and classmates, Kaled was a calming and positive presence. He was a great listener, always ready to offer support and honest advice. Despite his demanding engineering studies, Kaled made sure to prioritize spending time with loved ones. He cherished moments with his family, especially when he became an uncle and had the opportunity to bond with his nephew.
Kaled deeply appreciated the scholarships and bursaries that helped alleviate the financial burden on students. He understood the importance of being able to focus entirely on one's education and get the most out of the learning experience. In memory of Kaled, this scholarship aims to support and inspire future engineers who exemplify his values.
This scholarship seeks to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, but also emphasizes the importance of extracurricular activities, personal projects, and work experiences. Kaled strongly believed in applying knowledge beyond what is learned in the classroom.
Through this scholarship, we aim to inspire innovation, foster a spirit of exploration, and encourage students to go above and beyond in their pursuit of engineering excellence.
