Since the spring of 2001, we have been supporting OVC Pet Trust’s quest to find more and better ways to deal with and understand the complex and devastating disease of cancer.

One in every three dogs, whether pure breed or mixed breed, is diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Cancer is the most frequent cause of death in dogs. This is a truly frightening thought. It is a burden that we all share. In loving our dogs, we want the very best for them, in sickness and in health. Every single dollar donated to The Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund and The Smiling Blue Skies Fund for Innovative Cancer Research, supports OVC’s quest to find more and better ways to deal with and understand canine cancer. Not only do our pets benefit from your generous contributions, but the knowledge gained is translational, meaning it benefits “ALL” of us.
Not only do we fund studies and grants, but since 2014, we have also funded the Clinical Research Coordinator’s position and the Companion Animal Sample Tumour Bank’s Coordinator’s position too. This would not be possible without your support. The tumour bank contains more than 30,000 samples. This is a financial investment in health for both the precious pets and people in our lives.
